In the last five years, the benefit has raised almost $140,000. With these funds, the Vineyard Church has been able to provide running water and solar electricity to the Dreamland Children’s Home; begin and staff a Children’s Medical Clinic; start the Operation Joseph, a 35-acre farm; build a dormitory with enough room for 100 children, as well as bathrooms and showers; put a roof on the Dreamland school; and purchase a dump truck used for transportation for the Operation Joseph Farm and for the children’s home. Additional funds have been used to supplement the children’s’ diet with protein, purchase school desks, and start a goat farm! This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to provide additional housing and mentoring for the teenagers of the Dreamland.
A team of seven men and women from The Vineyard Church recently returned from South Sudan. Among other projects, the team completed an art project with the children from Dreamland which will be featured at the benefit. In addition to the children’s art, the event will feature the work of many local and regional artists including: Chuck Strantz, Matt Cashore, Harold Zisla, Maria Winston, Branden Hochstetler, Ben Koch and many, many others. Items will be sold through silent and live auctions throughout the evening of the event.
