Art for the Heart of Africa
5th Annual Benefit Event
6:30 - 9 pm, Friday, November 1, 2013
The Vineyard Church
16219 Jackson Road, Mishawaka, IN 46544
Art for the Heart of Africa is an evening devoted to honoring God’s gift of artistry through music, art, food and a benefit auction. The semi-formal event will feature art works from local and regional artists as well as items from the children of South Sudan. The benefit will support the children of New Generation Dreamland (an orphanage in Yei, South Sudan) as it strives to feed, educate and show love to children orphaned by war, poverty and famine. Every dollar raised will go directly to support this orphanage.
2012 Update:
Over 400 people attended Art for the Heart of Africa on October 26,and due to the generosity of so many, we exceeded our original goal (of $20,000) and raised more than $30,000 to help support the New Generation Dreamland Children's Home in Yei, South Sudan! We will be able to purchase a refurbished dump truck for the Children’s Home, as well as help them secure the fence around the Home. In addition to that, we are providing more than 48 goats to the Dreamland, which translates into greater nutrition and protein each month for the children.
Below is a video with Pastor Stanley Lonathan, the founder of Sudan for Christ Ministries, and Vineyard Pastor Clint Schwartz, sharing the need for the dump truck to help forward the ministry in South Sudan.
